Amber Wendler, PhD

Amber Wendler is an interdisciplinary biologist with extensive experience in project management, science communication, data analysis and visualization, and grant management. She has been conducting ecological research for over a decade studying a wide range of organisms from birds to fishes to plants across the United States, the Caribbean, and South America with the goal of advancing conservation and management efforts. Amber's work extends beyond research into outreach, advocacy, and community engagement. She has demonstrated a strong commitment to and passion for working with communities and advancing equity, particularly in science, outdoor access, and climate and environmental action.

Research Areas of Interest

Conservation biology, climate science, tropical ecology, behavioral ecology, population genetics, ornithology, forest ecology, and restoration ecology.
