Amber Wendler, PhD

Amber Wendler is a biologist with extensive experience leading projects and programs, translating complex science into accessible insights, and effectively engaging with diverse communities. For over a decade, she has conducted ecological research on a variety of organisms, including birds, fishes, and plants across the United States, the Caribbean, and South America to advance conservation and management efforts. She is also deeply committed to fostering equity in science, the outdoors, and climate and environmental action. 

Research Areas of Interest

Conservation biology, climate science, ornithology, behavioral ecology, population genetics, forest ecology, restoration ecology, and tropical ecology.
